Juniors complete combined no hitter

4 Post 11 Juniors pitchers combined to throw a no hitter on 7/5/2018.  Bryce Rager, Dylan Anthony, Gavin Rowland, and Cayden Moore combined forces to strike out 5 hitters without issuing a walk.  Rager gets the win going 2 scoreless innings.  The offense had 14 combined hits on the evening and defensively we did not commit an error.

Juniors Split with Post 92

The juniors clawed back late in game 1, but could not overcome a big first inning by post 92.  Solid pitching effort from Noah Stadwick who went 5 innings yielding one earned and striking out 4.  Bryce Rager  pitched a scoreless 7th.  At the plate hits were at a premium.  Zane George, Ethan Hyme, Noah Stadwick, and David Hurst each hit safely.  Hurst drove in 2 runs, and Dylan Anthony drove in the other.

The nightcap was a battle, but the juniors came out on top 7-6.  Things got rowdy in this one.  James Troupe, Zane George, and David Hurst pitched for the juniors.  Zane George earned the win in relief yielding 3 runs over 2-1/3, and David Hurst earned his first save striking out one over the last 1-2/3 innings and yielding no runs.  At the plate James Troupe was 3 for 4 with two doubles, a single, and two RBI.  David Hurst was 1 for 3 with a double and two RBI.  Ethan Hyme was 2 for 3 with a bases clearing double in the 1st.  As a team the Juniors drew 9 base on balls.

Juniors Sweep Post 303

Two big wins over the weekend for the juniors, along with two big firsts for a couple of players.  Jacob Jubach  (Lancaster) and James Troup (Fairfield Union) each hit their first home runs of the season.  Every rostered player got in on the action.  Multiple diving catches and solid defensive plays in game one and game 2. Juniors record stands at 15-3 heading into the senior classic.   Game 1 win 11-5, game 2 win 12-1.  Combined stats below.
