Lancaster Post 11 is gearing up for its 33rd annual American Legion Baseball Lancaster Post 11 Classic, set to take place June 26th-29th, 2025, at the renowned Beavers Field in Lancaster, Ohio. This year's tournament promises even greater excitement as it aims to bring together state and regional-level competitors from across the Midwest.
Since its inception at Morehead State University over 40 years ago, the tournament has grown into a marquee event for American Legion Baseball. After relocating to Beavers Field in 1993, it has continued to thrive, becoming a July 4th holiday staple and drawing teams and fans from all over the Midwest. Coach Al Beavers, the tournament director, shared his enthusiasm: “This event has brought incredible teams and people to Lancaster for decades. We're thrilled to invite top-tier teams, including past state champions from the Great Lakes and Mid-Atlantic Regions, and we’re eager to see the competitive spirit soar.”
Beavers Field, one of the finest baseball facilities in the Midwest, boasts a turfed infield, a beautifully maintained grass outfield, stadium seating, batting cages, and new lighting. Fans can enjoy amenities like “Phyllis’ Home Plate” concession stand, featuring the famous "Phyllis Burger," ample lawn seating, picnic areas, and a playground. The recent addition of “The Beavers Dam,” a large indoor facility, further enhances the experience for players and spectators alike.
The tournament is open to a limited number of teams, and spots are filling up quickly. Interested teams are encouraged to register soon to secure their place in what promises to be an unforgettable event. The entry fee is $850, and baseballs are provided as part of the package.
