Post 11 creates collegiate style schedule each summer

Post 11 consistently creates a tough schedule each summer. The schedule is tough because of both the stiff competition that Post 11 plays and the number of games Post 11 plays in a short two month window.

Each summer Post 11 selects the most challenging ALB teams in the state. This year’s schedule includes no less than 4 teams that made the ALB Ohio State Tournament last year. Many more teams on this year’s schedule have made the state tournament in previous years. This year’s schedule also includes Post 11’s annual trip to Pemberville, Ohio. At Pemberville, Post 11 plays 3 doubleheaders in 3 days against some of the best teams in the Northwest Ohio area: Pemberville, Toledo and Blissfield, MI.

Post 11’s schedule each year is very intense. For example, in the first 10 days of the season Post 11 will play 15 games. This requires the players to stay focused and helps develop their mental toughness for the remainder of the season. Many ALB game schedules reflect the intensity players will experience if they go on to play college baseball. Post 11’s schedule resembles collegiate play in many ways, including:

  • High frequency game play (e.g., 40 – 50 games within 7 weeks)
  • League play
  • Divisional Tournament
  • State Tournament
  • Regional Tournament
  • World Series Tournament

Post 11 is looking to build on a successful 2017 season that included a 28-17 record overall, 19-6 of their last 25 games, and State Tournament berth where they placed 3rd overall.

Post 11 plays all of their home games at Beavers Field, Lancaster, Ohio.
