Lancaster Post 11 won their 2018 8th District Tournament games decisively to land a second consecutive state tournament berth. In G1, Post 11 topped Athens Post 21 by a score of 14-4, and in G2 Post 11 again topped Athens by a score of 10-3. Post 11 racked up a total of 18 hits in the two games.

“We’ve been playing great ball.”, said Coach Al Beavers. “We front load the schedule with the best Legion teams from across the state to impress upon the kids the level of competition we face in the tournaments.”

In their last 20 games, Post 11 has gone 16-4, with a 20-12 overall record. This last win over Athens landed Coach Al Beavers at a career total of 757 wins. 

The 2018 Ohio ALB State Tournament starts Wednesday, 07/25, and runs through Sunday, 07/29. 8 teams from across Ohio will come to Beavers Field to battle it out for the coveted state title and a trip to the Regional Tournament in Napoleon, Ohio.
